It seems that most of the information on body language focuses upon interpreting gestures and actions, in the hope that we can make an educated guess at what the other person is thinking and feeling.
In my earlier article on reading female body language I explained that any gestures and actions are highly subjective, both for the person and situation.
So, I thought as the intent is to mind read the other person i'm show you a technique that does not even involve gestures — but the people physiology as a whole.
One of the principles of NLP is that our physiology expresses and affects our state (emotions and feelings). Simply put, if you hold your body in a depressed way (head down, frowning etc) you will feel depressed, and so on for other states.
So here's the body language secret — in order to mind read the other persons emotions simply change your physiology to match their. Now, this is not always practical so the technique that is just as effective (and here's the real secret) is to visualize yourself, even for just a few seconds, holding your body, moving and having the same facial expressions as they do.
I promise you'll have a great understanding of what other people are experiencing than 99.9% of people out there. Just briefly picturing yourself matching them will let you mind read the other person, and most of the time the first thought that occurs while picturing matching them is the right interpretation of their state, emotions and even thoughts.
Try it out, I think you'll be impressed with the results. This tool will give you the upper hand in any interaction.
