GERD Symptoms and How to Treat Them

What is GERD?

On a daily basis, we all take at least a meal to keep us going, and we end up experiencing some uncomfortable feeling after that. The stinging sensation benefit the breastbone extending up into the throat always brings about a real discomfort.

There are various forms of gastroesophageal reflux and one of the more serious and common one in that family is the gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD). Persistent reflux that occurs more than twice a week is considered GERD. It further leads to more serious problems.

Let's take my case as an example. Ignorance is the worst enemy. It started little by little. I was just feeling bitter in my throat and before knowing I was nursing serious and severe pains. I had to take a gamble. First, I thought about what best measure to take to cure my problem. The best for me, was applying a natural remedy of curing which I never regretted at all.

The main symptoms of GERD are; frequent heartburn, this is the most common symptom. The burning feeling can travel from the person's chest up to the neck and throat. It usually leaves a soar taste in the mouth, coughing and wheezing, this happens when acid travels back up into the throat and then spills over into the windpipe and down into the lungs, belching is another symptom of GERD, it sometimes helps people relate the buildup of acid or gas on the stomach, and this can be one of the symptoms.

Foods that trigger acid reflux are; peppermint, spicy, greasy, fried, and fatty foods, carbonated drinks, chocolate, citrus fruits and juice and many more can lead to this condition. If you avoid these foods can reduce the chances of falling into this trap.
As a victim I tried as much as possible to come up with some ways that I could curve my condition. I was lucky enough to have some but but very effective means.

Here are some of the ways to getting rid of GERD; Do not eat and go to bed immediately, wait for some thirty minutes to one hour before you go to bed, eat smaller portions but frequently, avoid foods that might bring problems, weight observation is also very vital when it comes to this, try using a special wedge-shaped pillow.

As we all know that health is wealth and everyone would love to be strong and sound health wise. These natural methods will absolutely eliminate the surgery procedures that might harm in the process. Let's prevent GERD before it prevents us from living a normal life.
